Back when I was a lad, £200 wouldn’t buy you a 16-bit console and 2 games, and one would have to dip very deep to buy anything approaching a remotely usable PC. But luckily those days are long gone, and this pocket-lint.co.uk review of the Toshiba L300 does much to remind us of that.

The boys over at the site in question have give this laptop 8/10 – and despite having some reservations about the ability of the notebook to run more taxing applications, cannot help but marvel at its overall suitability for those after a basic machine.

“The Toshiba Satellite L300 won’t suit everyone, as its base specification isn’t powerful enough for anything but the most basic of tasks. However, if you just need something for surfing the web or responding to email, this is a great machine at a bargain price.”
