Toshiba sort son Tecra A10-13I, un ordinateur portable orienté vers les professionnels au format 15.4’’ sous plateforme Intel Centrino 2 à moins de 1100 euros.

Garanti 1 an, sa batterie lui assure une autonomie annoncée de 4h20 sous Windows Vista Professionnel, il pèse 2.8 Kg et mesure 361.3mm x 265mm x 37.1-39.1mm. Il dispose d’un accupoint en plus du touchpad. Il est livré avec un DVD de restauration Windows XP Professionnel et dispose d’un clavier anti-éclaboussures, d’un système de protection du disque dur contre les chocs sur 3 axes, de divers outils de diagnostiques, sauvegarde et sécurité ainsi que de la fonction Toshiba Face Recognition pour la reconnaissance faciale via la webcam.

Le Toshiba Tecra A10-13I offre une configuration professionnelle intéressante. Il est en effet l’un des seuls de sa catégorie à offrir une connectivité 3G. En outre, il bénéficie d’un bon processeur Centrino 2, d’un écran à résolution plus élevée que la moyenne offrant un bel espace de travail, d’un lecteur d’empreintes pour un accès facilité et protégé, d’une connectique sympathique avec - sans compter la 3G - Wi-Fi n, e-SATA, Firewire et Bluetooth, ainsi que de fonctionnalités intéressantes. De plus, on apprécie la possibilité offerte à l’utilisateur de pouvoir choisir entre Vista et XP, ce dernier étant moins gourmand en ressources et affichant une compatibilité logicielle et matérielle supérieure.

Wie tomshardware.com berichtet gibt es drei neue Modelle in der Toshiba Tecra-Serie, mit einer ganz klaren Zielgruppe:
“Businesskunden und deren Wünsche”.

Alle Modelle bitten eine sehr hohe Konnektivität und  Kompatibilität untereinander, neben den Standards wie WLAN, Gigabit-Ethernet, Bluetooth gibt ist auch ein eSATA-Anschluss verfügbar und Assisted-GPS und UMTS sind mögliche Optionen. Die Austattung kann vom Kunden dank des BTO-System (Built-To-Order) fast frei gewählt werden. Natürlich wurde bei der Tecra-Serie wieder mehr Wert auf die inneren Werte gelegt und das Design bleibt sehr schlicht und funktional. Es wurden entspiegelt Displays eingesetzt und bei der Qualität scheint man sich auch zielich sicher zu sein: Für das Tecra A10 gibt es die Toshiba Doppelgarantie.

Allerdings ist er ein absoluter Einsteiger und bittet im notebookforum um Rat. lieblingsbesuch meint folgendes, Zitat: “… Dein Notebook hat 2 Baenke, d.h. du musst 2x 2048MB kaufen. Ich persoenlich wuerde den RAM bei Alternate kaufen, und zwar von ‘ner ordentlichen Marke. Das bei eBay zu kaufen, ist russisches Roulette. …”

Looking for a combination of light, portable and cheap is a pretty difficult task, but thats exactly what Gail is after and, to help her with her search she has enlisted bookxo.com forum members.

Other than being light for consistant transporting and cheap, her only other specification is that she needs something with firewire, leaves her fairly open to suggestion.

Someone who seems to feel they have found an ‘excellent’ solution to the age-old light but cheap problem is Puzzle121, who has written a review of his feelings on the Equium A100 for viewers of ciao.co.uk. Giving it 4 stars, an evaluation that it has a ‘good sound, nice looks, battery life, running speed’ and the title ‘excellent for a budget computer’, one can’t escape the feeling that Puzzle121 is more than content with his find! He goes on to produce an easy to follow account of his findings of the A100, written in a language even the least technically indined people can understand. Feeling that it is particularly good for work, but has a decent graphics card that leaves it open to gaming possibilties, this lightweight, 15″ screen laptop with firewire, Wi-Fi, 1GB of RAM and a suprisingly low pricetag could well satisfy Gail’s needs!

Rodrigo aus dem notebookforum, besitzt einen sehr langsamen Toshiba Satellite A100-512 Laptop. Diesen möchte er sehr gern aufrüsten, damit er etwas an Geschwindigkeit zulegen kann. Die Frage ist nur, wie lässt sich dieses durchführen?! Hagiman aus dem Forum sieht da eher etwas “schwarz”. Er meint, Zitat: “… Ne tut mir leid also mit dem A100-512 ist da mal garnix möglich. Klar kann man den Speicher auf 2GB DDR2 erhöhen und die HDD aber dann ist Schluss. Hättest du eine CoreDuo A100 dann wäre das was anderes da kann man dann die Grafikkarte und den Prozessor erweitern (kannst du beim Celeron auch aber halt nur mit Celeron Prozessoren was sich nicht wirklich lohnt). …” Auch an dieser Stelle, DANKESCHÖN!! Kuckuck möchte nun auch gern mit seinem Toshiba Laptop von Windows XP auf Vista umsteigen. Seine Frage dazu lautet, Zitat: “… Habe ich nach dem Express-Upgrade wieder einen sauberen Computer, wie nach der Benutzung der Recovery-CD des XP-Systems? …” Ansonsten würde er vor dem Upgrade sein System mit der XP-Recovery-CD auf den Zustand der Werksauslieferung bringen.
