Toshiba Satellite L300 review on cnet.com

To be honest, the L300 is just perfect for what it is — a simple budget 15.4-inch laptop” concludes the www.cnet.com review of the budget L300 Toshiba Satellite laptop, before the editor rates it a rather healthy 8/10.

Suggesting that “the best way to describe Toshiba’s Satellite L300 is basic” – reviewer Craig Simms seems to be a fan of the simplicity he has found with this machine. “It’s a straightforward two-tone laptop in silver and black, and doesn’t pretend to be ‘personalised’ to your needs” he says, describing this notebook as “no doubt the perfect upgrade to those who are feeling a bit cash-strapped, or who just need to get through uni.”

Not overly impressed with the performance, Craig nonetheless checks his expectations against the price of the computer, and thus describes his overall impressions of said scores as “definitely within acceptable limits”. After all, without heaps of bundled software driving up prices, what you are left with seems to be great value for money. As Craig puts it “The specs and price makes this the perfect cheap office or internet machine.”

Satellite with ‘a lot going for it.’

TGR74 has been inspecting his finances and has decided that, although he can’t afford the fastest of all gaming laptops he would like a new laptop that can handle games as well as work. He has asked for advice from techies on Sherdog Martial Arts Forums.

At present he is totally open to suggestions about his laptop options and has been reading CNET reviews to get a feel for it.

One review on CNET TGR74 should have a look at is the editor’s review of the Satellite P205, a well priced laptop that has ‘a lot going for it!’ The news is that it ‘backs up its good looks with a competitive mix of components for the price’, including 2 GB of RAM, Core 2 Duo processor, a crisp 1,440×900 native resolution screen perfect for graphics and even a webcam! With processing speeds that rate high in CNET’s benchmark tests, the Satellite P205 could be just the non-gaming gaming machine that TGR74’s after!

A210 a ‘blistering performer’!

If you’re after a desktop replacement that is easy on the eye, affordable and provides ‘blistering performance’ then the Satellite A210 is a ’seriously fine’ option for you according to a review on CNET.co.uk.

Reviewer Jason Jenkins has writen a detailed review discussing everything from the appearence and spacious keyboard to the vast memory capacity, processing speed and mark test results! Providing a thorough insight into the laptop, this is an easy review to read no matter what your technical knowledge is.

From the review, the Satellite A210 sounds perfect for locum pharmacist MANJ_007 who has asked for help chosing a new laptop from HotUKDeals Forum. With a fairly decent budget but also a longing for something with good specs and definitely a laptop he can take to pharmacies with him (if only to cure occassional boredom!). CNET reviewers ‘digging the X200′!

Getting increasingly great reviews in the gaming world at the moment is the Satellite X200. The latest to be wowed by the gaming laptop are those in CNET.co.uk’s review site who are positively ‘digging’ Toshiba’s latest release.

Offering a comprehensive review including details on which games they feel run best on the X200, Stalker and F.E.A.R apparently being made more pleasant with the Toshiba keyboard, this is ideal reading for anyone after a decent laptop for gaming without going to the usual Alienware brand.

Footballguys Forums member Cavalier would really benefit from reading this review. Questioning forum members on what laptop he should buy, Cavalier has listed his needs as a 17″ screen laptop in order to play poker and is also after something for browsing the net and occasional gaming, all of which the X200 could handle easily.

Feature packed U305

Keeping firmly in his daughter’s good books as far as laptops are concerned is Alexpl who, knowing that buying the right laptop can be a stressful as well as an important investment, has asked for some advice from Notebook Forums.

Alexpl may not know which laptop to by but he’s pretty sure that his daughter needs a fairly lightweight laptop complete with Vista and 2GB of RAM. It also needs to last for 4 years and use Santa Rosa! Screen quality is also important, as his daughter is short sighted and won’t enjoy using a grainy or flickery screen. With the school term looming advice is needed ASAP.

The Satellite U305 could almost be custom-built for Alexpl! In a recent CNET review, particular praise is reserved for it excellent 13″ screen which uses TruBrite technology to ensure that it’s sharp and bright without being distracting! The review goes on to reveal how the U305 fared in its numerous system tests and describes it as perfect for home users who still want a feature packed notebook.
