Back when I was a lad, £200 wouldn’t buy you a 16-bit console and 2 games, and one would have to dip very deep to buy anything approaching a remotely usable PC. But luckily those days are long gone, and this pocket-lint.co.uk review of the Toshiba L300 does much to remind us of that.
“The Toshiba Satellite L300 is one such machine, but at first appearance you wouldn’t think that it costs less than £300” begins the review, and we cannot help but agree. The boys over at the site in question have give this laptop 8/10 – and despite having some reservations about the ability of the notebook to run more taxing applications, cannot help but marvel at its overall suitability for those after a basic machine.
“The Toshiba Satellite L300 won’t suit everyone, as its base specification isn’t powerful enough for anything but the most basic of tasks. However, if you just need something for surfing the web or responding to email, this is a great machine at a bargain price.”

The fateful time has arrived for mishima to look for a new laptop so he’s decided to ask fellow members of Hexus forums for some advice.
The prospective laptop is needed for light gaming and office work such as presentations. Desirable features for mishima would be a 15″ screen, 2GB RAM and dual core processing. Not too hard to find, but when you consider his need to buy it cheaply, you add a problem to the mix!
However, this is not an issue now the Satellite Pro A200 is about and promising to deliver ‘maximum efficiency, is the perfect choice when it comes to performance and style’ according to review site Cheap laptops. With the 15.4″ TruBrite screen and Dual-Core Processor T2080 mishima needs, as well as all the programmes to sort out office work and gaming and all with ‘one of the best brand names’.

Having been a desktop user all her life gibbsey76 is a bit stumped now that she is faced with the prospect of buying a laptop. Luckily she has been able to ask advice from Livejournal, but is still in need of some firm evidence of good multimeida laptops that will answer her needs.
If it’s hard evidence about an ideal laptop gibbsey76’s after, then review site Cheap Laptops latest article on the P200 is just what she needs. Apparently ‘Jam packed with all the multimedia technologies that you could possibly want’, including Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5450, 895MB ATI Radeon HD2400 Graphics card and DVD ReWriter MultiDrive, there is little this laptop couldn’t manage with ease and all at a tiny price.
