Talktoshiba.com bei ‘Take a Closer Look’ – Das Zeitalter des Laptop-Style

1. Ästhetik
2. Benutzeroberfläche
3. Funktionalität – Ergonomie
4. Die Emotionen hinter dem Projekt
5. Anpassung an Kundenwünsche

Talktoshiba.com at ‘Take a Closer Look’ - The age of laptop style

The PC industry has entered the age of style – it’s not all about ‘pretty colours, lights and such’ – but the days of bulk-built laptops sitting in rows in computer shops are gone. In 2006 12% of consumers said they cared as much about the look of their laptop, as how it worked – by 2007 it was 23%.

So how is the market to accommodate this shift – well, primarily by concentrating on these 5 topics according to JP Gownder, from American research company Forrester

1. Aesthetics
2. Interface
3. Functional – ergonomics
4. The emotion behind the project
5. Customisation

“The age of style”, he says, “is undeniably upon us” – and with 54% of North Americans suggesting that style was a major factor when purchasing a PC, the figures match up.
