Toshiba hat mit dem TLP-X200U einen neuen kabellosen Projektor vorgestellt , der auf der 3LCD Technologie basiert und mit einem Einrichtungsassistenten ausgestattet ist , der über Audio Ausgabe Anweisungen geben kann. weltdergadgets.de
Dass das ganz nicht nur ein bisschen Spielerei ist, wird sicher jeder bestätigen können der schon mal vor irgendeinem elektronischen Gerät hockte und sich gedacht hat: “Sag mir doch bitte einfach was du willst!”. Also ich bin stark dafür, dass sich die Technik auch auf weitere Geräte ausbreitet, solange sie deaktivierbar ist.

Noch mehr News von der Ceatec: Toshiba hat neben dem SCiB Akku für Notebooks auch noch ein Handy-Prototyp vorgestellt, welcher sich im Handumdrehen mit Methanol betankt lässt.
Aber erstmal noch ein Nachtrag zu dem SCiB-Notebook-Akku-Prototyp. Mittlerweile gibt es auch jede Menge deutsche Berichte über die Neuigkeit. Ein guter Berichte ist auf golem.de.
Jetzt zu dem neuen Prototyp: Die Idee der Brennstoffzelle dürfe jedem bekannt sein, an Stelle von einem Akku hat man einen Mini Generator im Handy, den man bei Bedarf aufüllen kann. Genau so ein Handy hat Toshiba jetzt vorgestellt. Es wird mit Methanol betankt und soll mit einer Tankfüllung 6 Stunden Gesprächszeit liefern. Nach den Angaben von Toshiba sollen 50ml für 15mal Nachfüllen reichen. Das heißt mit einem Flachmann (200ml) Methanol kann man 10 Tage am Stück telefonieren, das ist doch mal nicht schlecht. Das Betanken soll laut Toshiba in sekundenschnelle und auch wären des Betriebs möglich sein.
Die Technologie dahinter heißt DMFC (Direct Methanol Fuel Cell) und den News-Artikel findet ihr bei inside-handy.de.

However, according to those over at gadgettell.com, “Toshiba are taking a different approach”, and are aiming to recycle 12 million pounds of electronics in the US by 2010. Agreeing to recycle any kind of e-waste, “Toshiba will accept any sort of electronics from cell phones to computer to video game systems, all without having to buy a single thing” – unlike Dell, who only deal with Dell branded items.
Even better in these dark days of economic decline, “Toshiba will even pay you for recycling as a trade-in (which, admittedly Best Buy has offered before). For example, my two year old MacBook Pro would get me $325, and a $25 Starbucks gift card. Not bad” says the correspondent “if I wanted to get rid of my computer.”

Speedoo de futura-sciences est ésespérée et pas très habile avec l’informatique, il recherche de l’aide pour réinitialiser le son sur son portable Toshiba satellite modèle s1730(avec Windows millénium).
Il a réinstallé windows après formatage, réinstallé les drivers et pilotes à l’aide du CD d’utilitaires et pilotes mais n’ai toujours pas de son…a t-il oublié une étape…
Est-ce quelque pourrait le dépanner “simplement” (sans trop de vocabulaire technique) ?
Bei den Beamern hat Toshiba neben den aktuellen Modellen auch die Design-Studien der zukünftigen Modelle vorgestellt und die sehen nicht nur schick aus, sondern werden bestimmt auch funktionieren. Das ist zu mindesten meine Meinung, nachdem ich ein “Working Modell” des für September 2009 angekündigten 100g Beamers gesehen habe.
Von der Größe ist es schon dem zukünftigen Endprodukt sehr nahe und damit verdammt klein, im etwa so große wie ein Nokia N95. Auch die Leistung war echt beeindruckend: In einem etwa dunkleren Raum, konnte er bei ca. 40 cm Bilddiagonale ein klasse Bild liefern und auch bei ca. 1m Bilddiagonale war die Projektion noch gut zuerkennen.
Man konnte am Toshiba Stand alle aktuellen Notebooks ausgiebig testen, so auch die Gestensteuerung und die Gesichtserkennung. Die Chance hab ich natürlich gleich genutzt und es am Qosmio G50 ausprobiert.
Bei der Gestensteuerung musste man sich natürlich erst kurz an die neue Bedienung gewöhnen, aber durch extra Felder an den Ecken des Bildschirms klappt es schon nach 30 Sekunden ein Film zu auszuwählen, zu starten, zu stoppen und auch wieder zu beenden.
Die Gesichtserkennung hat auch gut funktioniert. Ein neues Gesicht “einzurichten” hat circa drei Minuten gedauert und das Erkennen des Gesichtes zum Einloggen hat bei mir gerade mal 1-2 Sekunden gedauert.
Notebook Test
Ich hatte natürlich keine Zeit die Notebooks ausführlich zutesten, aber der erste Eindruck war schon mal sehr positiv.
Das Gamer-Notebook X300, fällte einem natürlich mit seiner flamm-roten Design als Erstes ins Auge. Es ist wirklich eine mobile Spielstation, mit der man sich sicher für LAN Partys jede Menge Schleppereien ersparen, aber als normales Notebook zum täglichen mit herumtragen ist es schon zu massiv.
Das gleich gilt für das Qosmio G50, was mit riesigem 18,4″ Display und Quad-Core Technologie als Desktopersatz für Multimediafreunde gedacht ist. Wer ein Multimedia-Notebook zum mitnehmen braucht für den gibt es natürlich noch den kleinen Bruder, das Qosmio F50 mit 15.4’’Display.
Für unterwegs eignet sich das Portégé R500 natürlich noch viel besser. Da es auf der IFA leider Probleme mit dem WLAN gab, musste ich glücklicherweise auf einen der ausgestellte R500 zurückgreifen, um live zu berichten. Ich muss sagen: Auf der Tastatur lässt es sich, trotz der kleinen Abmasse, sehr gut schreiben und auch Windows Vista lief ohne Problem, beim Fotos laden und surfen.
XDE Technologie
Ein weiteres Highlight war die Präsentation der XDE Technolgie und des dazu gehörigen Players, den XDE 500. Mit diesem DVD Player werden normale DVDs noch einmal in der Auflösung hochgerechnet, um auch noch auf HD-Fernsehern gut auszusehen. Mehr Infos bei golem.de. You know what to do when your laptop goes wrong… Amit Kapila certainly did when his “poor old Panasonic Toughbook had a problem with the keyboard” – he went out, perused some new laptops – fell in love with a Toshiba Satellite U400, and snapped it up.
Indeed, packing 3GB RAM, 250GB Hard Drive and a Core 2 Duo 2GHz processor, this little laptop has some serious bite, and as Amit puts it “What more can a man ask for.” Admittedly he hasn’t checked out the battery life just yet, but keep an eye on http://amitkapila.wordpress.com/ for news when he does.
OK – so the Games Convention in Leipzig is fully underway, and as computer fans descend upon Germany in their masses, it’s time to take a look at what delights are emerging. Expectations of mindblowing technology and gaming revelations are high, and while farplaner is enthralled about what Pro Evolution Soccer has to offer in 2009, twobrothersandasister are discovering new delights with Mad World on the Nintendo Wii.
And it’s exciting news for Toshiba too, who will be showcasing the powerful new Qosmio X300 gaming laptop (pictured), featuring the latest Intel® Core™2 Extreme QX9300 quad-core processor technology together with the new Gaming X20 optical laser mouse. For more information, the notebook is given a good going-over spec wise by both Crave and Pocket Lint who say this notebook offers a “sleek design aimed at gamers”.
Elsewhere, marketnews blog suggests that “Gamers will likely gravitate toward something like the Toshiba Qosmio X300 that can serve as the device for “fun” time as well as when it’s down to business” and invoid.org agrees, claiming the X300 is “built for gaming purists”. It’s due to be released in Europe towards the tail end of 2008, but for those who can’t wait that long – it can be seen at Toshiba booth B02, Hall 4, at the show, from 20th to 24th August 2008.
