In search for a speedy laptop on which to use Photoshop, e-mail and MS Office, TheEclipse has asked for advice from the members of Bit-tech.net forums. Unfortunately, nobody’s been able to help so far.

TheEclipse wont be using the laptop for gaming or anything too resource-hungry. However, speed is an issue and a decent display is essential given TheEclipse’s Photoshop requirements. TheEclipse would also like to know he should restore his current laptop to factory settings before selling it to a friend.

Perhaps TheEclipse should take a look at the Satellite A100, described by Laptop Reviews UK as a ‘compact and stylish laptop’. Boasting Intel Centrino Duo, a data bus speed of 667 MHz as well as a 15″ widescreen (perfect for viewing and editing photos and Wi-Fi) to boot, the Satellite A100 sounds right up TheEclipse’s street!

Il possède un Toshiba Satellite A100 avec Windows Vista Edition Familiale Premium. Une fois sur deux, le pc ne veut plus s’allumer…: lorsqu’il branche le pc sur le secteur, le voyant de la batterie est orange et le voyant “prise secteur” est bleu. Il appuie ensuite sur le bouton de démarrage ce qui a pour effet de le rendre bleu, de rendre également le voyant de mise sous tension bleu et de faire marcher le ventilo mais l’écran reste noir !

Die Adresse der Seite gab Toshiba zunächst noch nicht bekannt.

SanchoPansa hat ein großen Problem und schreibt im notebook-Forum. Sein Toshiba Satellite A100 - 936 schaltet den Bildschirm nicht mehr ein. Zuvor wurde er in den Standby-Modus gefahren. Notebooker fragt daraufhin ob es eventuell der Akku sein könnte, einfach mal versuchen diesen zu laden! Jay1985 hat auch noch einen Tipp, Zitat: “… Hast du mal den Akku rausgenommen und das Gerät vom Strom getrennt? Eathen aus dem toshiba-Forum, hat ein Problem mit seinem Toshiba Satellite A100-771 Laptop. Seit einiger Zeit stürzen immerwieder Programme ab, die Fehlermeldung bringt den Hinweis, dass der Speicher mit dieser Adresse nicht gelesen werden kann. Nun fragt er sich ob es ein allgemeines Installationsproblem sei oder der RAM Probleme verursacht. EXILE17 is having a bit of a dilemma after deciding he needs a new laptop. He’s going ‘on the road’ next month - so time is short - but he’s not technically-minded and needs some help choosing!

On his Livejournal blog, ‘The Movie - Computer geek I am not!’, he explains that he needs a budget laptop which runs Vista, which he can watch plenty of DVDs on and which has a sizable memory.

With these specifications in mind, the Toshiba Satellite A100 could be an ideal laptop. In a recent review on the Cyberindian TECH website, its ultra-lightweight design is discussed (light = good for traveling) and with Vista preinstalled and a 15″ Clear SuperView TFT display which is almost designed for viewing DVDs; the Satellite A100 seems like a good solution for EXILE17.

Depuis peu le lecteur graveur du Toshiba Satellite A100-788 de Phillpe sur groups.google n ‘est plus reconnu, et il ne sait pas pourquoi.Il est sous Vista pro. Quand il va sur périph, il y a un ! jaune sur ce periph et quand il veux mettre a jour le pilote; Il dit que le meilleur pilote est déjà.Comment faire ?

Il a son portable réinstallé et tout est rentré dans l’ordre mais il ne sait toujours pas ce qui a provoqué ça…
